
DCD Publishing seals QVC deal for Zalza - starring Russell Grant & Flavia Cacace
DCD Publishing has negotiated an exclusive deal with QVC for the brand new dance/fitness DVD Zalza, launching live on QVC on 12th April. After dancing with each other on Strictly Come Dancing 2011, wowing over 13 million viewers and being voted, Strictly’s most popular couple ever, Russell Grant and Flavia Cacace thought it was time to get the nation fit through the unique world of dance and created Zalza, their new dance fitness concept which makes work outs fun and accessible to everyone.
Dance has transformed Russell’s life enabling him to lose 11 stones since 2009, so using 6 of the most famous dances in the world from the Salsa to the Cha Cha Cha and from the Jive to the Rumba and the Samba and Merengue, the double DVD shows viewers of all ages and abilities how to exercise different parts of their body, get fit and lose weight. Zalza does not end there; Russell and Flavia have teamed up with a top nutritionist to learn more about what to eat and when to get the most out of exercise. The DVD will also include exclusive behind the scenes footage from Midnight Tango rehearsals which Flavia and Russell are both starring in London's West End.
Zalza debuted in the summer of 2012 with a 7 week series on ITV’s This Morning. Zalza showed that by using traditional dance moves you can tone the body and improve the cardio-vascular system, making Zalza the perfect dance work out for everyone from the advanced gym bunny to the mere novice.
The deal with QVC is the next milestone in DCD Publishing’s strategy to build Zalza into a major lifestyle brand across various areas including consumer products and television.
