DCD Publishing Secures deal and global representation for “The Vintage King”

DCD Publishing is delighted to announce that it is now representing William Banks-Blaney and his iconic vintage clothing company WilliamVintage, (www.williamvintage.com) for books, TV, film, merchandise and brand endorsements throughout the world.

DCD Publishing has sold world book publishing rights to Quadrille Publishing and ‘Twenty-Five Dresses by WilliamVintage’ will be published in September 2014 to coincide with London Fashion Week. The book, from the foremost expert in vintage fashion, will describe the evolution of women’s fashion through twenty-five iconic dresses and will be both visually beautiful and a riveting piece of fashion history.

DCD Publishing has also negotiated William Banks-Blaney’s role in the first prime-time vintage fashion show, airing in early 2014 on Channel 4. “This Old Thing” hosted by Dawn O’Porter will see William, ‘the UK’s foremost fashion expert’, sourcing stunning and high-end vintage pieces in London, Miami, Palm Beach and Paris. William’s own vintage fashion series is also under discussion with production companies and broadcasters.

WilliamVintage was founded in 2009 by William Banks-Blaney, an interior designer who always loved vintage clothing but felt there was a gap in the market for an edited, exacting source of the World's best vintage clothing and vintage haute couture. Christened ‘The Vintage King’ by Vogue, the ascent of WilliamVintage has proved him right.

William has become the voice within the industry;  has spoken at the Vogue Festival, lectured at the Victoria and Albert Museum, been interviewed by CNBC, appeared in numerous episodes of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo, will be appearing in “This Old Thing” and The WilliamVintage book will be available in 2014. William was announced by British Vogue as the national Fashion Patron of Oxfam, the World’s largest charity and clients of WilliamVintage include Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Lana del Rey, Tilda Swinton, Michael Kors, Nigella Lawson, Gillian Anderson, Anja Rubik and Eva Green.
