September Films appoints Simon Broadley as Head of Development
DCD Media-owned September Films, the UK and US based producer of reality television, entertainment and formats has Simon Broadley to the newly created role of Head of Development.
Joining from BBC Birmingham where he is Head of Development, Simon has devised shows for all major broadcasters and has worked extensively in development for the BBC, LWT Entertainment and Hotbed Media (where he was a director and shareholder). He has been responsible for specials and series including: 'Star Portraits' with Rolf Harris (BBC One), ' Everything Must Go', 'Date My Daughter' and 'Solution Street' (ITV), 'Win My Wage', 'Queen For A Night', 'The Robbie Williams Videodrome', '100 Worst Britons', 'Power of the People' and 'The Day I Got The Sack '(Channel 4), 'Build Buy or Restore '(Discovery Europe) together with commissions for E4, BBC FOUR and CBBC with a number of formats sold internationally.

Starting on 10 October and based at September Films' London offices, Simon will be leading the team in charge of developing new entertainment and factual entertainment formats.
Earlier this year September appointed US senior creative Richard Hansil to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Creative to sustain growth in the American market out of the company LA office.
Further senior appointments will be announced in due course.
September Films' most recent programming include third season of A&E's hit non-fiction series, Billy The Exterminator, now a household name in America, eight season of hit reality show Bridezillas, now totalling 150 hours distributed internationally by DCD Rights, the documentary special Beyond: Messages from 9/11 for the US Biography Channel; ITV1 Saturday night series Penn & Teller: Fool Us, presented by Jonathan Ross and series four of Richard Hammond's Blast Lab, the BAFTA winning childrens' game show currently airing on BBC One and BBC Two.
