2/6/2009 - DCD Publishing hires new talent to sustain growth
Following the enthusiastic response from the publishing community and the recent successes of TV tie-in deals such as Alan Whicker’s Journey of a Lifetime with HarperCollins, DCD Publishing has appointed two new executives to strengthen its existing team.

Michael Gottlieb, who joins from Aerodynamic Licensing, will develop the merchandising side of the business and Robert Gwyn Palmer, from the Daily Telegraph, will enhance the publishing activities.

Adrian Sington, CEO of DCD Publishing, said, “Both Michael and Robert have extensive experience in our field and will be valuable additions to help expand a division whose promising start bodes well for the future.”

Michael Gottlieb and Robert Gwyn Palmer will be working on licensing strategies for shows such as Richard Hammond’s Blast Lab, the DCD/Hammond-produced series currently transmitting on CBBC and BBC Two and DCD's celebrity chef cookery show, Daily Cooks Challenge, starring Antony Worrall Thompson and shortly transmitting its third series on ITV 1.

DCD Publishing was launched in September 2008 as a division of DCD Media, the independent television production and distribution powerhouse, in order to take advantage of often under-exploited ancillary rights connected to TV programmes.
